Gail Patrick Bursary
The Gail Patrick Memorial Scholarship Fund was established for the support of individuals in the advancement of their education.
Gail Patrick, a young Welsh woman studied music at Southampton, but then worked in social services before being tragically killed in a car crash in her mid-twenties. In celebration of her life, her family set up a fund which, through the NAWF, provides bursaries to young Welsh students in a variety of disciplines. Previous awards have helped young musicians to buy instruments, study in America and travel there to perform. A recent travel bursary supported a young artist from Tredegar to exhibit at the Conference of Contemporary Cast Iron Art in Scranton Pennsylvania.
If you are under 25 years on application and living or studying in Wales you are eligible to apply for a bursary of up to £1,000. You must be able to demonstrate that the money awarded will, in some way, further cultural links between Wales and North America.
